Homemade Italian Salad Dressing Recipe

Make your own dry Italian salad dressing mix with this recipe, instead of buying it ready-made. It also makes a thoughtful present for colleagues and friends.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml dried oregano
  • 30 ml salt
  • 15 ml dried parsley
  • 15 ml garlic salt
  • 15 ml onion powder
  • 15 ml white sugar
  • 5 ml ground black pepper
  • 5 ml dried basil
  • 1.25 ml dried thyme
  • 1.25 ml celery salt

Directions

Combine the oregano, salt, parsley, garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, pepper, basil, thyme and celery salt in a bowl. Keep the mixture in an airtight container until needed.

To Make Italian Dressing

In a medium bowl, whisk together 160 ml rapeseed oil, 60 ml white vinegar, 30 ml water and 30 ml dry Italian dressing mix until thoroughly blended.
